Supporting Martha Carr - Not that she needs it ;-)

I was SO tempted...

I’m presently writing this In Saginaw’s Delicatessen (Circa Hotel) in downtown Las Vegas. Jet lag has me up at ungodly times in the early morning. NO ONE is joining me…See?

I received a notice about Martha Carr’s new book (and Kickstarter), so I clicked the link, looked at the goodies she was offering…was tempted to screw around with her donor’s front page option … thought better of that … and then joined at a significantly lower price ;-)

Eamon: Book 1 Queen of the Flightless Dragons by Martha Carr

A girl gamer in a taco truck who finds some dragons & fights interdimensional demons in Austin, Texas.

Yeah… So CLOSE Martha… I was almost a mega-donor.

I had to take a screenshot. for fun of course.

Martha’s Kickstarter was released as I said, and she is doing amazing (and it is already funded), so it’s not like she needed me to jump on board, but I know Martha has been working on this series for a long time now, and it’s near and dear to her heart.

So, I pledged. Besides, who doesn’t like taco trucks and dragons? Well, at least taco trucks? I like Dragons in my stories, but I’m not exactly keen on meeting one in person.

But, Martha has a much more expensive pledge (which is what they tell you when you build Kickstarters to have all of these levels.) At the bottom, there is a choice where Martha would have to put my name up front and I thought…seriously thought… about doing just that.

BUT, making the name something silly. Dr. Michael Acula anyone? Would that have passed?

“Calling Dr. Acula, calling Dr. Acula…”

She’d probably kick my ass, so I decided to skip that idea.

Since I’m not as much into physical books anymore - no space at home - and I would like to see the enamel pins she is doing - I joined for the ebook and pins option.

Anyway, I hope your weekend was fantastic, and your week is awesome!

Ad Aeternitatem,

Michael
