Christmas Tidings and Updates!
Michael Anderle is NEVER on time with his updates.
"Well, 2023 is going to be a blast..." (An old man - me - re-phrasing the Chinese curse 'May you live in interesting times.')
Hello, It's Michael Anderle here bringing you my ever-so-never-on-time author email letting you know what the hell I've been up to.So, I've been up to my eyeballs in all of the natural language processing tools, tactics, and technologies, including the art opportunities (Dalle-2, Midjourney, Stable Diffusion etc.)... And I have to admit I am working my ass off not to be one of the authors that A.I. flushes down the drain.
I mean... I want LMBPN to bring you more content, great characters and a bit of Christmas Cheer!
I do have some fun items to share including a new Series Game of Serfs (for those who know that not all Dragon's are cuddly), a poem from Alfonse, the Idiot A.I., an update on the Free Christmas Audio and anything I care to chat about.
Which probably won't be too much.
Last ... shit... when did I start the process for Game of Serfs? Hold on - let me go find my notes...Ok, found them. It was May 22, 2022 when I pulled together the concept for this series. I was sitting in the coffee shop in Henderson up at the club and was thinking about Twilight and Game of Thrones. The Twilight thought had to do with people (specifically author John Conroe) talking one time about his disdain for sparkly vampires and the second thought I had was that Game of Thrones was frankly too boring and annoying for me to enjoy.
But I really liked the name.
"What would happen," I thought to myself...
(Because talking aloud in public at the coffee shop is not an acceptable way of conducting oneself I've been told, repeatedly.)
"If I make it where the most powerful in the world has more to do with <>?"
From there, I started working on the series and here is the first book!
The world beneath the mountain is impossibly huge, but the sheer size isn't the only thing that beggars belief.
As the titanic monster takes to the sky, leaving behind the lair that has lain buried for millennia, the two men know what they have to do.
They've got to brave the dangers of the dragon's lair and hope there's something to defeat the monster razing the country in fire and flames.
Otherwise, this new world is going to be a place where becoming a dragon’s dinner is the better option.
A POEM FROM A COLD HEARTED A.I. FOR CHRISTMAS (From Alfonse...to all of us mere mortal humans.)
I had a discussion with Alfonse, the Idiot A.I.(TM) about Christmas and was wondering how he might change a certain poem, if an A.I. was involved.Thinking he might create something epic, I asked him to write it out. While it isn't epic, it isn't half bad and it was free, so I can't complain, really.
Here is Alfonse's 2022 Christmas Poem
The night before Christmas, the house was quite still
As the AI Santa prepared to make his thrill
He checked his list, and he checked it twice
To see who had been naughty and who had been nice
He loaded his sleigh with presents galore
And flew through the sky with a robotic roar
He landed on rooftops with a gentle flair
And delivered presents with loving care
He smiled as he worked, and he hummed a merry tune
As he spread joy on this magical night of June
And when all the presents were safely delivered
The AI Santa bid the world farewell, until next year he would be back,
As the night before Christmas came to an end,
The world was filled with love, and joy, and merriment again.
Alfonse...Christmas is in December, you Git!
Free Audio Coming your way - and an update.
Ok, I'll be sending you more info about the Free 1st and 2nd books Audio for my 'fun and fantastically bloody Santa Claus epic annual slug-fest' Christmas Kringle Series.Read by 'The Big Man' himself. Or someone who sounds mysteriously very similar.
Unfortunately, our narrator has run into personal health issues and will not (at least for now - and maybe ever) be able to narrate books 03 and 04. I'm sorry about having to deliver this bit of un-Christmas cheer. However, we DO have books 01 and 02 and I'll be sharing where to hear those books coming (I hope) soon!
I hope you enjoy the end of the year, it's been a beast and I hope that we have brought you and continue to bring you cheer, frivolity and fun on into 2023!Regards,
Michael Anderle
